You could try putting them into a bathtub full of water and put in a mild detergent. You'll want to use a dishwashing sponge with a scrubber side to remove the built-up dirt from each of the strips. Once your done with that, you'll just want to hang it somewhere that you can extend it out all the way so the strips and the strings can air dry.

I assume you don't want to spend all day on this chore so here's my suggestion: take them outside and hose them down with the waterhose on jet. If they need scrubbing you can apply a cleaner (preferably an ecofriendly non toxic cleaner because whatever you use you will be breathing it in while you use it and after you take them back in -- most cleansers are toxic that you purchase in markets and super stores and their residues don't come off with water) let cleaner soak into the dust/grime whatever a while and then use a broom to scrub -- then flip and rinse both sides with the hose. Prop them up on their sides so the water can drain and leave to dry completely -- then re-hang.

They are mounted in those little boxes at each end that the front slides out of just for this reason. Slide one box front out - remove the entire blind - hang it in the shower - and wash away with your favorite cleaner. Blinds are about $6 each at K-Mart so why not just throw the sucker away and stick the new one up in the old mounting boxes = = = No workie workie for the maid

while you're fortunate adequate to have outfits lines outdoors, then the main suitable thank you to bathe blinds is to soak them interior the tub in warm soapy water. i take advantage of a delicate brush and wash them then I carry them on the clothing line outdoors and rinse with the backyard hose. It appears like various artwork, yet it is absolutely the maximum suitable thank you to rid the dirt and spots featuring using venetian blinds. desire this helps you.

Take scrubbing bubbles ans spray some on a rag. Then wipe them down. That's the easiest way.

fill the bathtub up with water, vinegar....and a little baking soda.

take down the blinds and soak them in the tub.....swish them around a bit...then rinse under the shower.....

shake to dry...and hang them back up

If you want to make it easy and get them really clean in all the hard to get spots, take them to the car wash, lay them on the concrete and spray away. It works great and doesn't take hardly anytime to do.

put dawn dish soap in your bath tub with warm water and soak them a little while. (1/2 hr. or so) swish blind back and forth gently and with a cloth wipe them off.
