I would likely be upset because I don't want a ring that has someone else's dents and dings and scratches and memories, I want to make my own.

  • I wouldn't care at all it's the thought that counts and if you really love a person you won't care how much something costs because it's the thought that counts I remember when I started dating my husband he bought me a 8.00 ring at walmart just as a surprise and I loved the ring and I have till this day on when you love someone money isn't the issue why does it matter if he got it from the pawn shop?? It's not a big deal atleast he bought you a engagement ring atleast he's thinking about you your making too big of a deal about it

Wow, if you are even asking this question, you are pretty shallow. I feel sorry for the guy that's with you. What would you do if you found out the stone wasn't real? Does it really matter? Isn't it the fact that he loves and wants to be with you? It's only a ring, it doesn't have feelings but he does.

If he bought you a ring from a jewelry store, how do you know that ring wasn't returned by a dissatisfied customer? Didn't think about that did you?

It would not upset me in the least bit. You should look at what is behind the ring - not the ring itself. The ring is a thing - but what it represents is what really counts. I have a beautiful engagement ring, I have been married for 18 years. If I had to do it all over again - I wouldn't even care if I received a ring like that - because in the end that is not what matters! Look at his heart - that is what counts!

You can get much bigger ones there, and at a much better price. Maybe that was his thinking. Saving money or Bigger Ring. Why would you not be OK with it? It's a ring, and you get to have your man forever. You should be very OK with it. Would you feel better if he lied and said it was from a jewelry store? Why would you even think about throwing it at him. All he is doing is thinking of you. If he's rich and did that I would say he is cheep. But for an average guy I think he's just thinking about you. Please tell me that your not that stuck up and have to have a new one. Maybe he's testing you to see if you don't care or you are really just stuck up.

Before I was married to my ex husband we lived together for a year. I was 22 years old. My ex took the money we had saved up for our rent and told me he was coming back with a surpise. I thought oh he must be putting a down payment on a wedding ring. He came back home and gave me the ring it was 10 karot gold and the diamond was not even cubic zerconia. I did not know what to say to him. I asked him where did you get the ring he replied "I went over to my friends house (who was a drug dealer) and he had a good deal on these rings. He spent all of our rent money on pot and the ring. I was very upset almost broke it off but had no where else to go. I threw the ring at him and he blamed my sister for me not excepting the ring. I was young and dumb and had a lot of growing up to do. I ended up marrying him and it did not work out.

What difference does it make, honestly? Is it nice? Is it special to you? Do you love him? Would you rather him spend $$$$ on the same ring he could get for $$? I personally wouldn't care, I'd just be thankful that he'd think enough of me to get me a ring.

What difference does it make? Maybe he can't afford the kind of ring you think you need? Maybe he truly thought you would like the ring he bought for you? Whatever the reason, why does it matter WHERE he bought it? What did you want him to do.. go into deep debt just so you can show off a huge rock? I think maybe you need to reevaluate your priorities.

I was so in love with my then fiance' when he bought my ring. he was between jobs. He saved behind my back, not knowing what the future was going to bring for him, let alone us, and bought me a 2500.00 wedding set. Whether it had been two thousand, or twenty, i couldnt have loved him more...its the thought that counts.

It would be fine with me. Have you ever seen the beautiful rings that show up at a pawn shop? Be happy that he got you one.

I think it would be okay with me. It doesn't matter where the ring comes from, it's the love and the relationship that the ring represents that counts!
