For clothes or for flowers or for everything in general? (Colours cover a LOT at a wedding!).

For clothes - red and gold is a nice striking combination, but I think it is more appropriate to the winter months. For a spring wedding, soft yellows and blues. For summer - pretty much anything you like! Autumn - blues and lilacs, the cooler end of the spectrum.

I would say don't go for the whole theme of pink - even though I love pink myself - simply because it just doesn't suit a lot of bridesmaids and they aren't too happy about having hundreds of photos of themselves looking like a wrapped sweet.

Yellow is a good colour - particularly if your flower arrangments refelct this by including lots of big sunflowers in them. Striking and cheerful!

To state the obvious - only go for what you and your partner are happiest with, even if it's nothing like what I've mentioned or whatever anyone else says is "good". It's up to the married couple, after all!

Burnt orange flowers (Tiger Lillies or Roses) as your main flowers with a little white interspersed. That colour looks good on the bridemaids too. You could carry the flowers of that colour. Much more classy and sophisticated than pink or yellow.

i admire peridot and amethyst! I had a set a jewelry with those hues and it substitute into captivating. while you're frightened approximately them going jointly, think of making one a richer tone than the different. like the awesome eco-friendly with a darker amethyst coloration. Or making use of one via fact the main coloration and the different as an accessory coloration. i think of this could be an incredible coloration mixture. do not permit different persons make your judgements for you. it is your wedding ceremony. If the colours make you and your fiance chuffed, then by making use of all ability, decide for it! good good fortune!

I think good color combinations will depend on what time of year the wedding is and what you like, that is going to make an impact on the colors you choose...Go with the colors both of you like and make sure it is a decision made together....

I guess it depends on what your favorite colors are.

I LOVE green. So I would pick something with green.

It's always a good idea to take inspiration from something you like. For instance, emerald green is a color you can find on a peacock feather. Since you know what one looks like, and it looks great together, you can combine other colors from the feather, blues, browns, black, etc.

This idea can also give you ideas on how to decorate (more than color). With the feather example I could also accent the centerpieces with peacock feathers or use them in my bouquet, etc.

I wore the most stunning, long, tight fitted gold lace dress with a black underpetticoat and a superb long gold scarf with long black fringes which was held in place with very deep red rosebuds. Peole commented that it was the most amazing dress ever. Use your imagination, after all you don't want to look the same as every other bride in white, be imaginative. Good luck.

Our fairytale wedding was red, black and white.

My matron of honor's dress was a red taffata skirt with black velvet top, and black accessories. The guys' black tux (tails) outfits had black cumberbunds and bow ties, except for my beloved groom - his cumberbund and tie were red. Very striking, formal, and ooh, lala gorgeous.

White wedding cake adorned with fresh red roses and some black/white non-edible decorations worked into the roses.

Everyone was just blown away by the dramatic, beautiful colors.

My brides maid dresses were black (with a little white sash) and flowers were red only (no greens) the bridesmaid boquets had red with hints of deep orange in it. All the rest of the flowers were red. It was pretty, I would do it the same if I had to do it again, hope not!

Of course it depends on the season and I would pay attention to who was going to be in the wedding...but I love "Dusty Rose" and/or salmon. I love a light yellow. I think both look great on lots of girls and also with black tuxes!
