Which is the best multimedia enabled linux distribution(non-live)?

Does it have DVD Authoring software? Does it have mp3 ripper? Does it have a good image editor?

    every linux distro has DVD authoring software like K3B. Gimp is a good image editor which again is present in almost all distros. Many distros do not provide support for mp3s while installation. But you can install 3rd party appl. like Mplayer.

    I would suggest you to use either Fedora Core 5 or Ubuntu (Dapper Drake)

    Goto www.ubuntu.com, it is amazing and very user friendly. You can download it from there, also you can request it to be shipped for free. It has a number of multimedia programs, also you can install RealPlayer.
