Can you say that these words are minimal pair?

We now that minimal pairs are pairs of words or phrases in a particular language, which differ in only one phone, phoneme, toneme or chroneme and have a distinct meaning. Examples are

bat - mat

sat - cat

lay - pay

Can you say that PLAN & PLANET are minimal pair? Plan has no difference with Planet but Planet has because there is "ET".

    Your first three are examples of minimal pairs.

    However, Plan and Planet are not minimal pairs.

    This is because "ET" is actually a combination of two sounds "eh" and "t", therefore they would differ in more than one phoneme
