Why are people prejudice against Americans?

Update:

People have this sterotypical view of Americans and of how we act and how smart we are and it just pisses me off.

Because we're much more well off than the majority of the world.

Probably because some Americans think they're invulnerable and also that they have an automatic right to rule the entire world.

Just becaust the United Nations is based in New York as well as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund,

the USA controls the greater part of the economic base of the world and therefore has alot of power and can impose horrific sanctions on other countries, there is plenty of resentment about that.

How would the USA people feel if they were the ones so controlled.

Because we invent most of the "major" things like most music, movies and a lot of TV shows, places like Disneyland, things like Ipods and the PC, because we only speak our own langauge, we are generally richer than many other areas, except for the big oil producing people and we are a little arrogant.

Our society is different from a lot of other societies, we stick out. Most societies and governments have some kind Prime Minister or Dictator and we have a president. What people don't understand, they don't like.
