Take deep breaths and let the unimportant things roll off your back. If that doesn't work leave for awhile and be alone or around someone that you always get along with and have a good time. It is not worth getting upset while you are pregnant. Also, if he has been being selfish then do the same. You are the most important thing is your baby's life! Good luck.

First, you have to get away from him when he is making you feel upset because stress is not good for the baby! You have to remember it's your baby and your baby is way more important than him.

First, I would suggest when calm to ask him what does he feel is more important. Ask him why he doesn't support you the way you feel you should be supported during this difficult pregnancy. Inform him that you NEED mental, physical, and emotional support in this time and that if not, you will go away to a more peaceful place (like your mothers, a friend, or something).

And, when trying to calm yourself down I would suggest to you my very own stress relievers; cup of hot chocolate, deep inahles/exhales, warm shower, lying alone in my bed until i doze off from thinking so much, going online and forgetting your own problems by helping people on yahoo answers with even bigger problems. The last one (giving people help) makes me feel a lot more calm becuase I can just relax and forget about my problems and hear about other peoples problems.

Best Wishes and Good Luck with the pregnancy.

I understand. During pregnancy women have a tendency to be more sensitive than they normally would be (even though during the time they feel that they aren't being more sensitive then usual and that their feelings are completely justified) :o) Been there! But regardless... everyone else is right... the stress isn't good for you or the baby (which I know doesn't make it any easier for you to automatically relax) but perhaps taking a walk whenever you feel upset would help. But you do mention yours is a complicated pregnancy.. so perhaps walking is not and option... if not maybe deep breathing or going for a drive??

And don't forget to try to express your frustrations with your husband (when you're feeling calm) so that he knows what is upsetting you and not to do it... OR what he can do to keep you relaxed and make your stressful pregnancy easier.

    Best wishes!

    Hey

I really know how you must feel, I went thru the same thing while pregers with my first and it was a girl. I couldnt stand my husband, if I said my back hurt, so did his.....if I said I was sleepy, so was he...you get the picture. What helped me was being around people I really liked and of course walking. You might want to get a good book to prepare you for mother hood if you havent already gotten one. And in the mean and in between time, you might even want to invest in a steamy novel, since you wont be really engaging in any hot nights for a while after baby comes along, it will help keep your mind happy and your sinful thoughts at bay, until your husband starts looking like a sinful treat again! And by all means try to invole him in as much as possile, there is nothing worse than a clueless man! One that cannot change a diaper or make a bottle...when baby comes be patient, he wont be as good as u but he will have to learn his own way around his child, and you will be annoyed but relieved. Take care and if you want to chat w/me get at me!

    one love

Well maybe he doesn't know what to do so he is pulling back. Men like to save us and he is probably more concerned than you realize and feels helpless.

Make the conversations more relaxing and be as nurturing to him as possible, this will show him that you do need him and what he can do is spend time with you and it can be enjoyable.

I would spend time being loving and drawing in the love around you.

I have been in your situation and I am telling you with all the hormones and our mood swings it's no wonder than men get confused.

Relax and embrace the good things, ask yourself to find the goodness and blessing in each day, concentrate on this and make the choice to find the kindness and concern he does show.

I believe if you do this he will relax more himself and follow the example. Make him feel needed and watch and see!

    Good luck!

Don't trust much of what you think or feel while pregnant. The hormones that enable you to survive pregnancy and for some to say it is wonderful, make you kooky! I know it's next to impossible now but try to detach emotion from and view rationally his behavior before you make a judgment.

You need to sit down and calmly talk it out. Maybe he is not aware of how you feel. Hormones can make women overly sensitive during pregnancy also. If you feel the need, use a marriage counselor.

Try showing him your question here and the answers too. Your hormones are changing now and it is difficult. More so for some than others. He should try to be more understanding and sympathetic. You will be back to your old self eventually.

Maybe he doesn't know how to act and show that he is worried about you. I think you should cut him some slack and try to talk to him in a calm manner about how you are feeling.
