    Fred Scott's Movie Ranch on Sand Lane in South Beach, "the birthplace of the Western", operated from the 1890s to 1914.

    Biograph Company opened a studio in New Brighton in 1906 and a second one that operated briefly in Stapleton around1922.

    Stapleton Studios operated at the old Navy Homeport site for a short period ending in 2003.

    I thought Warriors was shot on Staten Island, but now that I think about it, it might have been Coney Island instead. Sorry!
