    Perm Prices

I had hair a little longer than that a year ago and thought about getting a perm. I lived in the midwest and was quoted anywhere from $125 - $175.

Call your local beauty shop and ask them for a price quote on the type of perm you'd like to have.

If you have your own perm rods and a friend to help, a home kit cost about 10 bucks. If not, the salons in oklahoma charge about $75 for a nice spiral perm. I dont know if it differs between states. For long hair it does make a difference. There are different kinds of perms too. There's Acid Perms, Alkaline Perms, body Perms, Spiral. You can go to a beauty college, its usually cheaper. I trust them because they are supervised by professionals.

  • DO NO DO IT!!!! I had hair longer than that. It was 110 dollars to ruien my hair! My hair became so dry and dull, it wasn't good. I got dandruff. I just recently (when I got the perm was over a year ago and it still shows in my hair) just recetnly I had to cut the ends (4 inches) off because that was where the perm still had not grown out and it looked horrible. It costs alot and it really bad for your hiar

If you go to a salon the longer the hair the more it cost. 45-50 is normal so longer would be more than that. I would find out where there might be a beauty school and go there they do it cheaper.Or get two bottles of self timing perm and have some one do it for you.If you get self timing it shouts it's self off so you can't over perm.I would do loose curles.

length is really not a factor, its more of how thick your hair is. if it is your length and really thick, your stylist will more than likely have to use more than one perm solution. also, the type of perm you get. if its straight back, which i wouldnt recommend for someone with long hair, its cheaper, and uses less rods. something like a spiral will use more, thus more work for your stylist. she will charge for both perms, and labor. long, thick, spiral perms will run sometimes up to over 100 dollars. might i suggest finding a beauty college? they are much cheaper and you can make a senior request. get someone thats about to be out anyway. same results, a lot less money. hope this helps.

It starts at $30 and depends on the place and length of your hair if your hair is past your shoulders it will be more FYI best option is if you don't have a high bone structure get a loose curl
