Roy Orbison was not blind nor was he an albino. See the website below for some actual facts.

    Hello Maldwyne.

No, as others above have posted, not blind, and certainly not an albino...and he dyed his lt. brown hair simply because the contrast looked better on black and white TV. (as did his rockabilly contemporary Elvis.)

The Wikipedia article is a good one. Another accurate writeup on Roy has been posted on:

    http://www.myspace.com/royorbison

To all Orbison fans!!...THIS IS BRAND NEW...Roy's eldest son Wesley has started his own site about his Dad:

    http://allthingsorbison.com

And, when you have a moment, please add your vote here:

"The creation of a commemorative US stamp honoring the lifetime achievements of Roy Orbison, a true American music icon."

    http://www.petitiononline.com/royvote/petition.htm...

There is a VERY good chance the stamp will be issued in 2007!

no, I think he didnt like the appearance of his eyes so he wore the glasses. He may of had a problem with them as well, but not blind. He was a very talented singer and writer.
