    Who gives it the name of terrorists.. bah! nowadays, we have terrorist with power!! and they make you believe that the "bad guys" are the Hezbollah... it depends of the side you see things.

    Israel and US are in the same side, do not expect an impartial response to your question.

    The ones who invade foreign countries in search for power, those are the real terrorists.. and they complain when this people defend themselves... Not fair. By the way... Israelies invaded this territories... nobody ask them to install themselves there.

    Source(s): Just to those that are brainwashed: Read and Learn: The Hezbollah (Arabic: حزب الله‎ ḥizbu-llāh[1], meaning Party of God) is a Lebanese Islamist Shi'a organization and political party[2][3], with a military arm and a civilian arm [4]. One of Hezbollah's principal declared aims is to fight the Israeli occupation of Southern Lebanon[5] that lasted from 1982 through 2000[6] and again from July 2006. Hezbollah is currently led by its Secretary General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.Hezbollah was formed to combat the Israeli occupation following the 1982 invasion of Lebanon [7] and opposes the so-called "Zionist" agenda, also initially aiming to transform Lebanon into an Islamic republic. It was officially founded on the 16th of February, 1985 when Sheik Ibrahim al-Amin declared the group's manifesto. The publication of the manifesto was timed to coincide with the anniversary of Ragheb Harb's death. A 1983 bombing in Beirut that killed 241 Marines has been tied to Hezbollah and Iran. After a similar attack in 1984, the Reagan Administration left Lebanon, a retreat that most Americans do indeed remember.[8]. Hezbollah's ideology is based in the Shi'a tradition of Islam, specifically in the concept of "Willayat Al-Faqih" put forth by Ayatollah Khomeini and other Islamic scholars in Iran. In an interview with the Washington Post Hassan Nasrallah said: "It is unacceptable, it is forbidden, to harm the innocent. If there are American tourists, or intellectuals, doctors, or professors who have nothing to do with this war, they are innocent, even though they are Americans, and it is forbidden."[58] Hezbollah supports the destruction of the state of Israel[59][60][61] and has co-operated with other militant Islamic organizations such as Hamas in order to promote this goal. Hassan Nasrallah has spoken in favour of the intifada.[62] On the future of the State of Israel he expounds: "Everybody talks nowadays about accepting the reality and coexistence, or any other form of settlement with Israel." However, he views "realism in a different way". To him, "Israel is an illegal usurper entity, which is based on falsehood, massacres, and illusions, and there is no chance for its survival."[63] Hezbollah provides many social services in Lebanon.[17][48] According to CNN: "Hezbollah did everything that a government should do, from collecting the garbage to running hospitals and repairing schools."[49] In 1996 Hezbollah declared in "The Electoral Program of Hizbullah" that it would want to improve educational and health system.[50] Then on May 2006 as UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs published: "Hezbollah not only has armed and political wings - it also boasts an extensive social development programme. The group currently operates at least four hospitals, 12 clinics, 12 schools and two agricultural centres that provide farmers with technical assistance and training. It also has an environmental department and an extensive social assistance programme. Medical care is also cheaper than in most of the country's private hospitals and free for Hezbollah members."[4] Now Hezbollah social service agencies provide health care and schooling for poor farmers. [51] Even during the war with Israel during July 2006 when there is no running water in Beirut, Hezbollah is arranging supplies all around the city. "People here [in South Beirut] see Hezbollah as a political movement and a social service provider as much as it is a militia that delivers the goods for its followers, in this traditionally poor and dispossessed Shiite community."[49] Source: Wikipedia

    You are right. The US does not consider Hezbollah as terrorist group, but rather classifies it as such from their point of view of classification. This serves the purpose of creating weaker states always in need of help and donations, and globally fights what they consider as the real threat Iran which is SHIITE too. Many other things come into play but HEZBOLLAH is a legal political party which is gaining momentum and strength, and that does not look good for the US toy Israel and also from their backers in the US which are any and influential in a society whose majority is ignorant in politics. What is happening now is a continuation of the wrong things the US doing since 9/11 and even before, Afghanistan, Irak, Lebanon, Somalia, Yemen, Sudan where at every instant they have not score a single decisive win. As for Iran and N. Korea this tells how afraid they are to touch the prosperity of their country and sacrificing it with their Pride and Honor. There is more but it needs time and effort so please excuse me.

    It is believed that Hezbollah was behind the 1983 suicide bombing of the United States' barracks in Beirut where 241 American servicemen and women died and 60 were injured. These men and women were part of the multinational peace keeping force in Lebanon, I would consider this an act of terrorism, thereby classifing Hezbollah as a terrorist group.

    Sorry Mr. World Justice but the recent incidents between Israel and Lebanon are due to Hezbollah crossing into Israel and abducting two Israeli solders and killing nine others as well as lunching a constant barrage of up too hundred missiles a day into Israel. Hezbollah are not the Government of Lebanon, their army is not the army of Lebanon. Half the population in Lebanon are Christian. Hezbollah targets women, children and all non combatants. They are a tarriest group.

    I'll give you 214 reasons. I'm a former United States Marine and Hezbollah was responsible for the bombing in Beirut, Lebenon. This occured while most of these Marines were sleeping. You really shouldn't ask such a silly question. And this is just one incident. Hezbollah has been hellbent on dealing death and destruction ever since its inception.

    Source(s): My being a U.S. Marine when the incident ocurred is my source.

    Hezbollah is not a government, and by definition, is a rogue organization that commits violence. Rogue is the key word here. Hezbollah is no different than the Colombian guerrillas committing atrocities in the name of government resistance.

    As Condie Rice put it, you can't negotiate with Hezbollah because THEY ARE NOT A GOVERNMENT! They are a group that preys upon the Lebanese for their support. That's why Israel is telling Lebanon to stop supporting these rogue animals. Israel can negotiate with Lebanon. It cannot negotiate with a fanatical group of people.

    * a series of kidnappings of Westerners in Lebanon, including several Americans, in the 1980s;

    * the suicide truck bombings that killed more than 200 U.S. Marines at their barracks in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1983;

    * the 1985 hijacking of TWA flight 847, which featured the famous footage of the plane’s pilot leaning out of the cockpit with a gun to his head;

    * two major 1990s attacks on Jewish targets in Argentina—the 1992 bombing of the Israeli Embassy (killing twenty-nine) and the 1994 bombing of a Jewish community center (killing ninety-five).

    * a July 2006 raid on a border post in northern Israel in which two Israeli soldiers were taken captive. The abductions sparked an Israeli military campaign against Lebanon to which Hezbollah responded by firing rockets across the Lebanese border into Israel.

    There are more than that...I assure you.

    well, how about them firing rockets into israel for however many years it's been. hmmm, maybe their support of suicide bombings against civilians? their attacks on american troops in lebanon who weren't even there to fight hezbollah. and george meirelle and tobias, there's this book you should all read, it's called the protocols of the elders of zion... it's obviously right up your alley. and it's pretty pathetic that anyone has to even ask if hezbollah is a terrorist group, it's kind of like asking if the world is flat.
