I have an aunt who borrowed 2000 dollars from me and is now refusing to pay back?

My aunt said that she will build a house for me in my native place, and took 2000dollars in 1998, now she is refusing to build or even to pay back my money, now that i wanted to buy a car, she says that she is worried that i will have a car accident and die, and is not willing to give back, now after all these yrs, she is saying that she will pay back on the condition that we will no longer be related, any suggestion?

You have just learned one of lifes major rules, Don't lend money to family or friends, because money and friends don't mix! I'm sure you know this already, so I'll leave it alone. The truth is; there is not a lot you can do about it unless you are willing to go after her legally. It could be that she don't have the money to repay you with, is why she used the "no longer related" tatic. Which is more important, your aunt or the money? Call her bluff! Tell her that she knows she is wrong, and if that is how she is going to be about the money owed, then you are willing to part ways, but this is NOT your doing, but her's. She is trying to make it all your fault in hopes that you will back down. Don't fall for this childish game. Tell her if she needs the money THAT BAD to take it and forget about it! Back her into a corner by telling her you really NEED the money for a car, but you are willing to let her keep it if that is the only way to resolve the issue. Tell her you would have never thought in a million years that the outcome would come down to a game of playing on your consience by acting like she has your best interest at heart by using the money to manipulate something she knows you are apt to give in to. one: ask her if she agrees she owes you the money? Two: Ask her why she would make you choose between her or the money? Three: Ask her "if this is how she would be if you were the best driver in the world? Four: Ask her what the real issue is? Five: Make the statement "you know I could come after you legally if I so choose to? Six: Ask her why she is trying to force you into an unfair condition? Last: Look her square in the eyes, and say "I sure never thought you (of all people) would stoop this low to manipulate me into doing things that you feel would make me look like the bad guy here"? Tell her "You have had 8 years to make good on the agreement, and now it is somehow my fault that you don't have the money to repay it". Lay a guilt trip on her, just like she is trying to lay on you by saying "If you are that hard up, and in that severe need of money, I'm sure we can approach the rest of the family, and see if they can come up with an agreement that we can all live with" I'll bet she will squrim, and you will see her back down like the worm that she really is. Good Luck!

Honestly i would tell her that you are not going to buy a car make up some thing else you need the money for when, if ever you do get it back agree to no longer be related it sounds bad but if she loved you like an aunt should than she wouldnt treat you that way. If all else fails take her to small claims court.

Have a friend that your aunt don't know go up to her and become friendly with her. Your friend should eventually fish for some very senstive information. Once your friend get the info and let you know, go up to your aunt and tell her unless she pay up, you'll black mail her.

Do you or any of your relatives own something very important to your aunt? If so thearten to sell it unless she pay you back.

bribe one of punk kid who live close to your aunt, ask them to stuff a marble or two in her car gas tank. This may won't get your moneys back but it will cost her a lot to get it remove.

Do your aunt have any child? If not then if she is old, you can try put her in hospital home somehow (no easy task I'm assumig...)

For more details or methods, contact me.

However be very careful, all of above are illegal.

Listen friend if u ll go for the lawyer or court it will be cost u a lot and moreover u dnt have any proof that u lended the money.

Ok do one thing just borrow it from her husband or his daughter or kid it can help u.

Otherwise tell her that u urgently need th money and u will give her back assure that to her.

Take her any ornament she is wearing and tell her to give her money.

Otherwise if she is life that aunt than do one thing just take away the money and play with her body, use her body by force, humilate her and r a p e her...

Your aunt is not a nice person and for all her bad suggestions, yo could try asking an older member out of respect, to talk to her about it. Im sure they dont know how she is blackmailing you. the second alternative is to get a lawyer to send her one of those letters to pay up or else and show her you mean business.

Oh dear I forgot 8 years ago she borrowed the money then statute of limitations has run out Too late for Court. You will have to put it to the foot of the cross and forget it.

    Baby,

Now what did you want to do her, she is your sister what do you think you will do. Just commit her into the hand of God, because is only God who can touch her to give you your money don't say is my sister without God touching her she can not have the feeling to pay you back your money. But in the area, that you will have accident and die if you buy a car is not true, she is only trying to put fear inside you so that you will not ask of the money again. Well my baby take it easy that is the way senior sister do not only you my own sister is doing it. So you can see, commit her unto God, is only God that will make her to pay you. please I will advise you not to call police for her it can not solve it, just remember she is your sister not your neighbor not your friend but your sister no matter what may she may help you tomorrow so my friend take it easy she must gradual pay you, just pray and watch out.

Take it easy my baby bye........... to hear good news.

I'd agree to her terms. First priority is to get your money back, and regardless of what is said, no one can change the fact that she's your aunt. She may disown you, but she might do that even if she don't repay, right? She's using some psychological tactic to test you. Call her bluff.

Whoa! Thats super harsh! What kind of an aunt is that? You COULD file a case on that, you know... But since she's your relative that would be hard. Have you tried talking to her seriously? How about getting really mad at her? Im not really sure what you should do... sorry...

Write off the loan and forgive her. You gave her the money 8 years ago if she was going to pay you back she would have by now. Be the bigger person and let it go.

This is why you do not lend or borrow money.

Is this a type of heritage or religious thing? I don't know how to respond to that. I mean, if you and she are in America, you can always take it to court. But, it sounds to me that you guys are not even here, so I don't know how you would handle that based on your background or religion or whatever it is that makes this an issue such as it is.
