why fans and electric motors start there motion in clockwise direction?

    Not sure, May be some sort of standard. Eletric motors can run in reverse as well if the polarity is reversed.

    It has to do with the way they are designed. Some window fans can rotate in either direction by flipping a switch.

    Many fans that only rotate in one direction (i.e. clockwise) use what is called a Shaded-pole motor. With this type of motor, the positioning of coils determines the direction of rotation.

    There's a whole science to it. It's difficult to discuss with out a solid foundation in electromagnetic theory.

    Its due to the right hand thumb rule of motors which drive them in clockwise direction.

    Because they are designed to move in that direction. You can purchase electric motors to go in either direction that is also why you have the switch to change the direction on your ceiling fan. Because they will work in either direction as needed.
