For Example: I worked in a bar that was normally open 24/7 in New Orleans, but when we had to evacuate for hurricanes, we needed a way to prevent looters from coming in and stealing everything.

If there were ever to be a murder and the place turned into a crime zone, you would want to lock it up because the police aren't going to stay there 24 hrs. watching the place. Most cities don't have that kind of manpower.

There are other reasons as well.

A death of someone that works in the place, a way to protect yourself if the need arises(from wild animals or criminals),etc. It is always better to be prepared.

What is open 24/7 even on Christmas? Locks on whose doors?

Just incase something happens where they can't be open 24/7 or if they store changes into a different store they won't have to install locks.

What the h*** are you talking about?

I know people on yahoo answers give good answers but we aren't physic.

How are we to know what is open 24/7 or why their locks are on the door or whatever.

I wish you could give me those five points you are throwing away.

That's the way the door manufacturer makes the doors...duh

To keep people with bad grammar (say, like confusing "their" and "there") out of the store.

Because that is how doors are built.
