Canon is known to produce prints that are extremely cheap. And I mean extremely. But all their printers run slow and cartridge price rises after the model is sold out of the market and a new printer arrives. So Ink cartridges needs to be stocked before time runs out. Another thing is that the ink freezes if left for a month or two. This makes the situation very uncomfortable and if the ink is frozen inside the pipelines of the head then the printer needs to be changed. So ink cartridges has to be original and no refills. Go for cannon if u use the printer too much , got lots of time for the paper to come out, and needs something cheap.
HP on the other hand is known for its qaulity. If good paper is used , it produces life like prints of images. But it comes at a high price. You can print 8 pages of document using Cannon with the amount of ink taken by a single paper on a HP. But HP is fast, cartridge is always on the same price and always available, refills can be used 3 or 4 times, ink doesnot freeze. But it does have a paper clogging problem. Out of 40 pages 1 paper goes to waste.
