I do i get rid of it?

I have this pop up advertisement on my computer that i can not get rid of i tried to remove it but its not in my add/remove section of my computer. I have tried searching for it on my computer but i cant find it. So how do i get rid of this annoying thing?

Use a spyware program to find it and delete it. It won't be on your add/remove programs list, because it is not a program that you installed. Sounds more like a virus/spyware to me. Track it down with your antivirus software and kill it.

Check for spyware. Run both Ad-aware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaw... and Skybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/)... to remove any spyware. Run both as one may caught something the other missing. Then go to microsoft.com and download Defender to protect against future infections.

Install the following anti-spyware programs. They are free, and they don't have conflicts with each other.

Spybot: Search & Destroy

Ad-Aware

SpywareBlaster

Windows Defender

Please install them all and run them. Just google/yahoo for them, and you should be able to download them.

Go to www.download.com and download AdAware and Spybot. Run those and those may take care of the issue. Also, run your virus software if you have it. If you don't, you should really think about getting some. There are some free ones that can be run online like this one http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

you have adware. and/or spyware....get norton antivirus for spyware...it workks
