I had the same problem... only mine were a result of a fellow hairstylist messing up my cut. If they are very wet, first start by blowdrying them straight down, when the are just damp, take a brush UNDER your bangs with the bristles facing up and pull them in the direction you want by "curling" the bristles toward your nose, while blowdrying them on top, following the brush with the dryer. This works best with a round brush or any brush with similar bristles because they hold on to the hair better. Add a little hairspray once they are dry and repeat this step.. that way the spray wont dry crunchy, then finish with a little wax to hold them in place.. but just a little, or they will not stay and will look greasy... this is also how I teach my teenage clients to do their sideswept bangs, it always seems to work.

If what you mean by "i cant get them to style them the way i want them to" is that you can't get them to stay to the side, then before you go to bed bobby-pin your bangs where you want them and sleep with it like that...take it out in the morning but it may not turn out perfect the first time, you basically just have to tame them to stay the way you want.

nicely, in spite of how embarassing it is, it is style of complicated to furnish any help whilst we purely have a touch-there description. yet possibly decide for blunt bangs particularly, and attempt an completely distinctive look. circulate to a extra high priced salon and tell them you want a fix asap.

when your hair is wet, part them the way you want them & blow try them from root to end, then blow dry the other side of the part to the opposite side (brushing them slightly towards the back). you can also use a little hairspray once they are dry & either re-blow for a second, or flat iron from root to end towards the side..

after a little gel, blow them on hot to where you want them. then work that cold shot button! hair is like custard. it takes it's shape hot then sets when cold! then a little wax or spray. be patient and good luck. also tell your stylist to teach you next time you're in. if you don't look good, she don't look good!
