is it ethical to ask someone to choose you as best answer?

    I don't know about ethical, but I will chose a best answer IF it is one, not because someone says to pick them.

    No, best answers should be chosen if they are really the best. It's kind of pathetic to be that hungry for points or that desperate for a best answer to have to ask someone to pick yours.

    It's okay to ask if you are sure you gave a good, decent answer and also if they feel they should choose your answer and not someone else's.

    of course. it's no different than a candidate asking for your vote during an election.
