# how is that some people withstand high voltage electricity, like 400volts etc??

in newspapers and in tv we had seen "current mohan"passing high voltage current thru his body, making omlette in his palm with the current passing thru his body!!

The human body is not effected by voltage. You can pass as many volts through your body as you want. Amperage on the other hand is very deadly. Very small amps can stop a heart instantly. People who live usually were exposed to a high volt, very low amp current.

volts dont kill, your body can transfer that pretty safely with just a bit of pain. Amps are the deadly aspect. I think even 1 amp is enough to kill a person, so that man may have had 400+ volts, but no amps.

Voltage doesn't matter. It is amperage that will kill someone. My dad has been shocked by 10,000 volts, but the amperage was so small that it didn't do anything to him. 0.1 amps can cause the heart to stop.

They're superheros. Born at birth able to withstand high voltage.

High voltage isn't dangerous. Amperage is what is harmful to living cells.

volts dont kill people, amperage does.

tasers havent killed anyone yet, and they emit 50,000 volts

anything higher than 0.1 amps can kill though I think

follows the equation v=ir

resistance in the human body is constant, so higher volts means less amps, it has to be proportional

It all depends on whether you are grounded or not..Birds can sit on high tension wires with no issue..Same with people
