i used to run a 4.5 40. now im at a 4.8. i gained 12 lbs of muscle iv been workin out real hard.y am i slower?

Work your legs harder and do more flexibility training. Plus do more spriting and speed training. You probably packed on too much upper body strength, without working your core. Do millions of situps, lunges and stretching exercises.

More weight to carry. Usually the heavier you are the slower you are. If you didnt gain that 12 lbs of muscle in your legs then of course you'd be slower.

You probably weren't stretching. Get flexible and the extra muscle should make you faster unless you ignored your legs.
