Issac Newton. Discovered mechanics, optics, calculus, and discovered gravity. Wrote the most important scone book ever written "Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica". He didn't continue someone else work like most scientist. He created entire new fields of study. He makes Einstein look like an idiot.

Imagine if there was an athele that was the best tennis, football, baseball, and basketball player in the world. That would be the Issac Newton of sports.

Me thinks it must be Darwin. For the sheer controversy that he has been able to brew for the last 150 years, I mean his thoughts or theory has profound implications in the way we perceive things.Since his theory cannot be proved conclusively like physics,he will for the years be a controversial genius. In spite of this, I would still rate him slightly above Einstein and Newton the other great minds.

I am quite Einstinian myself, however I would have to say the greatest mind is probably a spiritual one rather than a logical one. To contemplate what is beyond our own comprehension is certainly the greatest task one could take to mind.

If you go with Biblical literalism then you'd probably have to say Solomon (wisest man that ever lived). However, I'm partial to the renaissance man ethos, so I'd say DaVinci. Newton's not half bad either...

i would say that the honor belongs to the proverbial skeptic. only he knows that there's not enough data to know the truth. so he sits comfortably in his thinking chair but he's not thinking for he knows too well it is a futile effort. instead he smokes the best cuban cigar vailable and sips a perfectly brewed espresso while contemplating on the finer things in life.

Christ here shows that it will not be enough to own him for our Master, only in word and tongue. It is necessary to our happiness that we believe in Christ, that we repent of sin, that we live a holy life, that we love one another. This is his will, even our sanctification This parable teaches us to hear and do the sayings of the Lord Jesus: some may seem hard to flesh and blood, but they must be done. And brother/sister, you are mistaken by assuming that, Christians believe in 3 Gods, father mother and son, but its 1 God, His Word(Jesus) and His Sprit. Your prophet didn’t understand, so how could you say.

I guess it would be the guy who most contributed to our way of living now, I mean like his impact on society then and now, and in terms of how we use his findings to further our knowledge.

I think it would be either Newton, Da Vinci, Einstein...

Plato, he's solely responsible for the world as we know it, he created modern thought! Every philosopher since him considered him to be the greatest.
