How can I upgrade from Windows Media Center to Professional?

Question

The Professional installation disc works when you boot from CD-rom but when the computer is up and running in Media Center and you try to run it from there, when you select upgrade and it asks for a key, it will say "Invalid Key"

why would they call it Media Center then? I called HP and they said it is totally different.

media center is professional so u dont need to upgrade.

if u can READ the label it says Microsoft Windows XP SP2 Media Center Edition.Of course it was Microsoft XP SP2 Professional Upgraded with just the media center program,u cant just downgrade u system,u usually upgrade it.and plus why the hell woudl u want to do something like that.
