    3 x 1.99 = 5.97 x 60% = 3.58

    5.97-3.58=2.39

    You spend $2.39

    You save $3.58

    Hello, the answer is 3.58.

    first multiply 1.99 x 3 = 5.97,

    then divide 5.97 / 100 = 0.0597

    then multiply 0.0597 x 60 = 3.582

then round the answer down to 3.58

Sorry, you didn't finish your sentence. Do you get it for 60% off, or do you get it for 60% of the regular price? There's a big difference. 60% off means you are only paying 40% of the regular price. 60% means you are paying 60% of the regular price -- and that's a difference of 20%.
