to use your yahoo account as a pop3 account requries a paid yahoo basic account. then you will have access to pop and smtp settings.

This is available only with a paid Yahoo! account, which offers a POP3 service, in which case you'd be told the POP server address, your username, as well as outgoing SMTP server address. You can upgrade to a paid Yahoo! Mail on the welcome screen of Yahoo! Mail when you log in.
