After the 1000 year reign of Christ Jesus on this earth... we learn that this world as we know it shall pass away.. along with the heavens. The new heavens and earth shall come down. The new Jerusalem will appear and we shall be in heaven with God the Father.

The description of earth in the beginning describes a firmament that was used to separate water above and below. This firmament was called heaven. Heaven in this instance is used to identify the atmosphere surrounding the planet. The water above the atmosphere was a vapor canopy that protected life from the damaging rays of the sun. In order to flood the planet God opened the windows of Heaven. The ozone layer was used to hold the vapor water canopy aloft. What today we know as the "hole" in the ozone layer is actually the scientific evidence of the situation in Genesis whereby the protective canopy was taken away in order to flood the earth. The second use of the word heaven is to describe the area where the stars and galaxies are positioned in the cosmos. There is a third heaven that is beyond the ability of man to observe and I believe that this is the place where space and time as we know it is breached and entry into the realm of a spiritual dimension which defies all explanation and understanding by those within the finiteness of our tiny little world. Gods there too. So....which heaven?

There is a theory by a dead German Scientist that has been recently discovered. This theory is about space warp travel.... basically we enter another dimension and we can travel faster there... its a strange concept I know but it is being taken seriously by NASA.

For now, heaven is a place of faith. In faith we are to accept that heaven is real and not question anything about it. However, I think it is a great question and I am personally not 1 to go purely on faith.

Personally I believe heaven is beyond our reach. But yes it is in our universe. Why do I say that? Because uni=1 and verse=space. In other words there is only 1 universe. It may however be in another dimension.

everyone else here seems to be confusing that there is only 1 universe. They are referring to galaxies and dimensions.

Heaven is a place where you can't find it on a map and can't be proven that it exist or not. I believe it is not necessarily in the universe but i don't think it is necessarily in the universe either. I think Heaven is in our spiritual minds. I think it depends on what you believe.

I don't think you could get to heaven via the space shuttle or else I'd be saving my pennies for a ride. I believe heaven is in another dimension that only our hearts can percieve.

Heaven is indeed elsewhere...it's not in this universe...it's at a place that no one in the world that we can't reach it is a place that you go afterward. But in the end it will be here.

    I don't think so.

Jesus said, "The kingdom of heaven is within you."

I have no better answer than that as that is where I have found it.
