Sometimes when it's such an important game like today's, teams get really aggressive and sort of ignore everything around them, and only go for the ball. It also could be because some of the Germans are mean, but that's just a small possibility.

it is part of the game...there is a reason for tripping..and as long as it is not done with malicious intent...it will be there as much as hacking is involved in Basketball..
