    Use the Internet Movie Database as the source for your inquiry

    American remakes include: Bad News Bears, The Longest Yard, King Kong, The Omen, The Italian Job, The Hills Have Eyes, Psycho, Shaft, etc.

    Remakes based on foreign movies include: The Ring, The Ring 2, The Grudge, Insomnia, The Vanishing, etc.

    There are newer movies being released or in production that are remakes, including Logan's Run and The Wicker Man.

    Scarface (1983, Al Pacino) is actually a remake of a movie by the same name made in 1932 starring Paul Muni. The plot is of course different in certain ways, especially because they original was made so long ago.

    I know this because it is one of my fav movies.
