God didn't make women to bear children because of sin. The woman was designed to bear children which is a blessing of God and physically required for the human race to survive. The punishment for sin was the PAIN that now occurs during childbirth. God isn't protecting a woman by not letting her have children -- that is a sad thing.

Both Adam and Eve sinned, both repented, and God forgave both.

God is the most just. He does not punish one (or many) for the sins of another. Belief that He does contradicts a number of other things that many, if not most, Christians profess to believe. For example, if Jesus died for all of mankind's sins, why do people believe that God continues to punish women for the sin of one woman so long ago? "Mysteries we cannot understand"? Or perhaps something that Christians are misunderstanding on some level or many levels?

As with many things in our universe, homes, and even our bodies, we may not understand the "reason" for them immediately. But I believe that the inner workings of our bodies are miracles and proof of God's existence and wisdom. There may be some reason (or reasons) that this pain is beneficial to the mother and/or baby that we just haven't yet discovered or realized. For example, we've always known that the contractions of labor push the baby down and out, but it wasn't so long ago that we found that these forceful contractions also clear the amniotic fluid that the baby has been "breathing" while in the womb out of his or her lungs in preparation for breathing air upon birth, which is necessary for survival.

You ask about women who cannot have children "for no reason". The reason simply may not have yet been identified. And God, in His complete knowledge, may have decreed that a particular woman not have children for any number of "reasons". It may be best for her for some reason that she cannot yet see. It may be a test for her, to challenge her patience and faith.

Yes, children are a blessing, but they can also be a source of great trials and troubles. Such is the case when a child becomes a criminal (this can happen even when the parents do everything "right"), becomes addicted to drugs/alcohol, and it can even be the case when the kid is great, but the parent sets aside right/wrong for the sake of the child. An example might be the case of the mother who killed a cheerleader in order to ensure that her own daughter would get a place on the cheerleading squad. A less serious, yet still harmful, example might be when the parent allows the child to do something known to be harmful or wrong because the child wants it and the parent doesn't want to say no and disappoint or upset the child. This happens all the time, such as when parents allow their kids to stay out all night or hang out with other kids who they know are doing things that are not right. Perhaps God protects some women from such trials by not giving them children.

And all praise is for God for every condition.

Women who can not or do not bare children are not "protected" by God, it simply means that either it's not time for them to bear children or that God sees it's best that way. In some cultures it's considered shameful when a woman did not have any children.

Having babies is a gift, the punishment which resulted from the fall is that the woman gives birth with much labor.

It is absolutely wrong to think that having childeren is God's punishment to eve. On the contrary, prior to the fall of Adam and Eve, God lovingly commanded them to "Multiply and fill the earth" (genesis).

What was a punishment was giving birth "with pains", and that was the punishment in itself for Eve deciving Adam in the lie that she was decieved in.

As for barren women, again, that is not a punishment for any particular reason...God may chose for some couples to be barren because he has other ultimate plans for them perhaps like adoption or explosion of love-based giving that extends beyond any emmediate family like missionary and humanitarian aid for some sort.

Or maybe God choses for some couples to be baren for a period of time until God sees the right time to grant them the joy of a child. St Mary was born of old-age couples, so did St John the Baptist and many many more siants that were born at a late so-called 'baren' age, and God's name was glorified against all odds of nature at the devinely correct time.

I really don't believe that God would punish women in that way. Having babies keeps the human race going. It is a natural part of life. It is not a punishment. I personally think that the story of Adam and Eve is a story cooked up by hateful men.

    But hey, that's just me.

dear person, Christ was sent here to die for us. He knew the exact appointed time he would die. He was not meant to live beyond 33 years. It was all in God's plan. You have to keep in mind that Christ, in the flesh, died on the cross, but Christ, the God, did not. That is why He rose again after 3 days with a new resurrected body. Where was He those 3 days? He went down into paradise. Oh how I wish you would be interested enough to read about it. God Bless you,.

I don't think childbirth is punishment for our sins. I think that PAIN during childbirth was the punishment. I also feel that children are a blessing from God.

Remember, bearing children is also a gift from God. Perhaps it's punishment.

There is a reason for everything, and i agree with Will.

BTW: Why would God want to punish ALL women for something that one woman did? That doesn't make sense.

I had a sister who couldn't have children. It was no one fault. Most definitely not God's fault. Her health was bad,so she couldn't have children. We have a uterus to carry children that's the way he made us.So God wouldn't pick and say you can have children, but you can't.Some women can't have chilrdren because they was born with imperfect bodies.Which makes them unable to conceive.
