Some people suggest playing machines in high-traffic areas, or at the end of isles because they believe those pay off more frequently to draw attention...
Also, the higher the denomination you play, the better the odds... So, if you play penny/nickel, you'll lose a higher percentage of the time... If you play dollar/5dollar, you'll lose less frequently.
Finally, if you play slots with lower max jackpots, you have a chance of winning the jackpot much sooner than you would for a slot machine that has a million dollar payday.

Slot machines are supposed to be random, but they are not truly random. A program runs on the machine making sure that they pay out at a certain rate. You can't really predict the outcome of a slots game. But, there are strategies to win; since a slot machine is supposed to pay out after so many pulls then if you stay on one machine long enough it will pay, but what it pays is random and you cannot be sure of a jackpot. Another other method is to go to a casino with "loose" slots--a higher payout rate. Usually the management of the casino knows the payout rate. Some casinos even advertise that they have "loose" slots in the hope that you will come, gamble, and still loose a lot of money.
Look at how beautiful casinos are, how large they are, and how they have no problem of offering free drinks to gamblers. Do you think they do this because they are kind? Casinos are a big money making investment, and one of their best sources of revenue are the slot machines.
So if you play the slots then set aside how much money you want to play with before hand, and stop at that point. You also have to have the attitude that you are doing this for fun, and that you will most likely loose all your money. That's why I prefer video games, you get a longer play and you don't have to worry if you are going to win or not. Finally by playing the slots you are giving the casinos the money they need to pay off that massive grand jackpot, and still make a profit.

Start out with as much money as you are willing to spend and get lucky. Oh yeah... then cash out! Take the money and run, because, sooner or later, the math will come back to bite you in the a$$. If you're talking about land-based slots, online play where the payout percentages are published. For the most part, online casinos pay between 94-97% on average. Land-based slots can be set by the casino to levels as low as 82%. This makes your chances of winning even worse.
You can get $150 free at Spin Palace for a $50 deposit if you click on the banner on the upper right hand corner. Of course, the best way to keep you $50 is to never wager at all, but what the hell, it's only $50.

Those guides only serve as an "entertainment" book. Sure, you will know a whole lot more about slot machine after reading them. But as to improve your chance of winning? May couple of percentage points tops. Slot machine is 99% luck. So, do not pay for any guide.

In my experience if you find slots that pay out on a regular basis you can win hundreds of dollars. Sometimes you lose. Always have a set amount and try to at least leave with your bank.(breaking even). If you enjoy it is a good investment. Just don't bank on it.

I believe the machines near the aisles and windows pay off at a greater frequency, b/c the club wants to attract attention to others walking by.Source(s): Just something I've heard in the past.

The tips here look pretty good, but make no mistake - there is no way to win, just ways to lose more slowly. And hopefully have more fun or get more free drinks!

don't play them. you may hit a jackpot and be "up". but in the end you are destined to lose against a wager that pays back 99 cents for every dollar you put in.

No. they are completely random. unless you knew the algorithm that is used to compute their odds you have no inside advantage.
