There are just over 52 weeks in a year, so there should be about that many Sundays. If the days fall just right, it could be 53.

52 or 53. A year (365 days) is 52 1/7 weeks long. If a normal year starts on a Sunday, there will be 53 Sundays. If a normal year starts on any other day, then there will be 52 Sundays. In a leap year, if the year starts on a Saturday or Sunday, then there will be 53 Sundays in the year. In a leap year, If the year starts on a weekday, then there will only be 52 Sundays.

Well, beings that there are 52 weeks in a year, I would imagine that there are 52 Sundays in a year. Give or take one or two if the month started or ended on a Sunday.

there are 52 Sundays in the year if Jan 1 is any day from sat to Fri but if Jan 1 is a Sunday there are 53.

Source(s): 7 days in a week 365 days a year simple division by 7 comes to 52 with 1 day left over. this means evry 7 years there will be 53 sundays but usualy 52. simple math.
