45/360....THATS THE RATIO CZ THE WOLE CIRCLE SUBYENDS A 360 ANGLE WHILE THE ARC SUBTENDS A 45 ANGLE SO THE RATIO OF THE ARC TO CIRCUMFERENCE IS 45/360

Major arc of the given problem is (360-45)=315degrees

The ratio of major arc to the circumference of the circle is=315/360=7/8

    In radian measure we have,

    Major arc=2pi-pi/4=7pi/4

And the circumference of the circle =2pi

Consequently, The ratio of major arc to the circumference of the circle is= (7pi/4)/2pi=7/8

    1:8 (the 45/360 simplifies to 1/8)

It's like a pizza and the crust is the circumference. If you imagine cutting a piece with a 45 degree angle in the middle, then the crust of that piece is the arc. You can cut eight 45 degree pieces.

Major arc subtends an angle of 315

Whole circle subtends an angle of 360

ratio of major arc to the circumference of the circle IS 7:8
