Let us suppose p(x, y) uneven heat-flux distribution on the sensor surface and examine how this effects the output voltage of the sensor. The considered structure is shown in Fig. 4a. The sensor material parameters, the λ thermal conductivity, σ electrical conductivity and the S Seebeck coefficient are considered to be constant along the A active sensor area. The metal contacts to both sizes of the sensor are considered to behave as ideal conductors in the lateral direction. The sensor plate is thin enough to allow neglecting any lateral heat-flow.
