這首歌是Susan Vega在她常去的一家街角的餐廳叫做Tom's Restaurant用早餐時的情景描寫。整首歌其實非常簡單，只是把她捕捉到的一些生活剪影呈現出來，有一種隨意，一種生活的慵懶。有趣的是這首歌原本是清唱版，因為旋律的吸引人受到各國愛好者的翻唱，因此有歌詞全部改寫的版本，也有饒舌與雷鬼節奏版。這些版本原本唱片公司要禁絕，但是Susan把它們結集成一張名為Tom's Album的ＣＤ。內容都非常有意思。Susan本人非常喜歡DNA所改的舞曲版，後來在精選集裡就以舞曲版收錄。
