Don’t ever say you are too old to make it…Look at this man!!!
Broke and out of work at 66 years old, became a Millionaire Many Times Over!
Colonel Harland Sanders, born September 9, 1890,began franchising his chicken business at the age of 66. Now, the company he originated has grown to be one of the largest retail food service systems in the world. Some 3.3 million of the Colonel’s “finger lickin’ good” chicken dinners are served daily. And not just in North America. The Colonel’s cooking is available in 54 countries and territories around the world. But it wasn’t always white suits and global jaunts for him. When he was six his father died. His mother was forded to go to work and young Sanders had to take care of his three-year-old brother & baby sister. This meant doing much of the family cooking. By the age of seven he was master of a score of regional dishes. At ten he got his first job, working on a nearby farm for $2 a month. When he was 12 his mother remarried, and he left his home near Henryville, Indiana, for a job on a farm in Greenwood, Indiana.
