Give Me Wisdom
In one of MacArthur's letters to his son, he prayed to God to give his son enough wisdom to do the right things. I also want enough wisdom to do the right things.
We are getting more and more knowledge nowadays for the sake of the development of technology and the spread of media.
Some are right while others are wrong. I don't want to be just another one of those blind followers. And what can I depend on to do that? Wisdom only. It takes more than knowledge to do the right things. Take me for example.
One day, my mom had a quarrel with my dad. She took her purse with her and rushed out of the door. Four hours later, she came back with numerous bags full of clothes, purses, shoes, and hats. The most funny thing is that she never wore any hat before!
Anyway, she asked me, "How I look on this hat?"
"Ridiculous" was the first word that almost came out of my mouth. Almost! Then I saw the tears in her eyes. Ya, I know, "honesty is the best policy" has been repeated a thousand times to me by my teacher.
"Wow, you look different from what you were!" I said, with a big hug around her shoulder.
Sometimes knowledge is not enough to do the right things, but wisdom is.
(Hope you enjoy it.)
