for 後面可以接原形動詞嗎? @@; 好奇怪喔...

下面是華盛頓郵報的其中一句...

Scientists hope to use such "therapeutic cloning" someday to create tissue for transplant into people with illnesses like diabetes and Parkinson's disease.

奇怪的是 for 後面不是用 transplanting, 而是用原形...

可以這樣用嗎? 請高手幫忙解惑一下好嗎?

    transplant n. 1. something TRANSPLANTED, esp. an organ, piece of skin, hair etc. 2. an act or operation of TRANSPLANTING an organ, piece of skin, hair etc.

    這裡的for 是當成 "為了" 解釋.如果你能接受buy something for (your birthday - 名詞)就可以接受create tissue for (transplant - 名詞) 囉.
