The Greek and Hebrew conceptions of the power that governs the universe are irreconcilable because the Homeric gods and Hebrew God represent disorder and order respectively. The Hebrews conceive the creation of the world and men is the work of on God monotheism, omnipotent and omniscient Jehovah, who presents and creates a perfect and harmonious order.

In contrast, the Greeks conceived their gods polytheism with anthropomorphic attributes as an expression of the disorder of the human world; the Olympian, gods who lived in Olympus like the natural and superhuman, but anthropomorphic, even immoral.
