俚語問題請教各位

1. eat no fish and play the game

2. above the suspicion

請問一下這兩句話的用法及典故為何??

    1. eat no fish and play the game 不近女色,為人正直

    fish為俚語中'女人'的意思,(但是這是對女士較不敬的說法,典故就無須解釋了)

    eat fish應該很容易理解吧....

    play the game 作風公正,為人正直的

    2. above the suspicion ...(連續國外十個俚語網站都灑攏某...)

    應該是諺語而非俚語

    under the suspicion 是受到懷疑,嫌疑人士...

    above suspicion則是不受懷疑 be very honest so that nobody would suspect you

    例如The man's actions are always above suspicion.

    俚語真難呀!

    約翰是靠得住的,他不隨便和女人胡搞而且為人正直.

    2. Caesar's wife must be above the suspicion.

    凱撒的太太應該是清白的.

    (我個人覺得,整句話翻譯時,應該是依照前後文,而非直譯單詞的意思...)
