A=waitress/waiter B, C=customers H=head waiter
H: Good morning. Welcome to the coffee shop. A table for 2?
B: Yes, that’s right.
H: Would you like smoking or non-smoking?
B: Non-smoking
H: This way, please. Is this table all right?
B: Fine thanks.
H: (After helping them sit.) Here is your menu. A waitress will be right with you.
A: Good morning. Would you like something to drink?
B: Umm… I want an apple juice.
A: A large or a small glass?
B: Large, please.
A: And you, ma’am?
C: I want a tomato juice.
A: A large or a small glass?
C: Large, please.
A: Thank you. I’ll be right back with your drinks.
(Serving the drinks.)
A: Here are your drinks. Are you ready to order?
B: Yes, I’ll take a small salad.
A: And you, ma’am?
C: I want the Japanese noodles.
A: Yes, ma’am. Anything else?
C: No that’s fine.
A: Thank you. I’ll be back with your order.
(Presenting the food when it is ready)
A: Here you are, ma’am, a small salad. And here is your Japanese noodles, ma’am.
B, C: Thank you.
A: Enjoy your meal.
(When they are finished.)
A: Have you finished?
B, C: Yes.
A: May I take your plates?
B, C: Yes.
A: Would you like some dessert?
B: No thank you. Just the bill, please.
A: Yes, ma’am. Here you are.
B: Where do I pay?
A: You can pay me, ma’am.
B: Can I pay by cash?
A: Yes, ma’am.
B: Here you are.
A: Just a moment, ma’am. I’ll bring back your change.
(Returns with change and receipt.)
A: Here you are, sir.
B, C: Thank you.
A: Have a nice day.
Here you are, ma’am, a small salad. And here is your Japanese noodles, ma’am.
