Cowboy的英文??為何要用cow?

如題;為何要用母牛[cow],而不用bull,ox....??

Update:

真的是因為牛仔趕的是"母牛"???

只是很好奇這個字的字源啦 ^.^

    cowboy 的解釋不能用英文來看

    其字源來自於西班牙文--vaquero

    也就是cow-man的意思

    所以之後英文才會用cowboy

    因為牛仔趕的牛是cows不是bulls
