http://w3.tkgsh.tn.edu.tw/rose/new_page_10.htmMY AUTOBIOGRAPHY I was born in Tainan. I am optimistic and always willing to learn new things. In my family there are six people. When I was a child my parents paid much attention to the development of my personality. They were strict with me and yet very understanding. ?"Actions speak louder than words?" and this is their philosophy of educating me. Therefore their good deeds influenced me very much. My father is a simple and down-to-earth person. My mother has a mild personality, she is a good housewife. I was brought up in such a healthy atmosphere and environment, so I have a positive outlook on life. When I was a student, I was a very easy person to get along with, so I had many friends. My teachers also praised me and gave me many opportunities to acquire different skills. For example, when I was in secondary school, I was very successful in some academic and vocational competitions in my school. When I was in the third year of senior high, I was chosen to represent my school Tekuang Girls High School, to take part in the island-wide Chinese Typing Contest. I won the third prize. As a result, I was able to study in Min-Chuen College without having to take the entrance examination. In Min-Chuen College majored in Business Secretarial techniques to learn how to be an excellent secretary. The subjects I studied included the knowledge and skills connected with secretarial work. I also learned Japanese and English conversation as well as translation of these two languages into Chinese . I was particularly interested in these subjects and participated in a contest of oral Japanese reading at my college. I won the second prize. I also represented Minchuen College by taking part in a English Typing Competition and I won the first prize in my group. After graduating from Min-chuen, I went back to my shcool-Tekuang Girls High School where I have been teaching a variety of business subjects for fifteen years. Within the last six years of these fifteen years, I have mainly taught computer skills and I have published three computer books. At present I am a writer for a big publisher-Song Kang Publishing Company. I hope I can improve my English ability so that I can acquire more knowledge from other countries where English is spoken. Consequently enabling me not only to be a good computer teacher but also an outstanding translator of computer publications. Therefore, I would be very grateful if I were granted the opportunity to major in Translation at your university. I would give every effort to study well in order to meet the university's requirements and expectations.
