Mary Cassatt made color prints, based on Japanese woodblock techniques and that combined drypoint, etching, and aquatint. From 1890, she had her own printing press at her home.

She also has a painting in Youngstown, Ohio...i think

She made many compositions of mothers and children, but never had any children herself.

She was the only American that exhibited with the Impressionists.

She & Degas were the only Impressionists who consistently painted in their studios rather than in plein air (outside).

A pioneer female painter. She painted a lot of "everyday" scenes, and not just formal portraits, which were the norm for the time period. An example of one of her works is "The Bath", which showed a mother washing her child.
