Whats the best way to get rid of crabgrass and quack weed in your lawn?
There are ways to kill crabgrass and quack weed in the lawn without going to the expense of pre-emergence, but I forget what the product is.

No offense, but so far cailin is the only answer of those offered that would work. Crabgrass and quackgrass (which is what I assume you mean by "quackweed") can mostly only be prevented by the homeowner, not eliminated after germination. Some of the preventers, Dimension in particular, has a limited amount of post-emerge activity, but generally speaking, if the crab is bigger than 1/2", it's too late. Weed n Feeds are for broadleaf weeds only, as is Ortho Weed B Gone. They will do nothing for crab or quack. There are professional grade products that will work, try finding Acclaim or Trimec Plus. You will have to search for these if you are in a urban area, they are not found at your Walmart or Home Depot. There is also a fertilome product that will kinn crab postemerge, but is similarly not easy to find. Seek out your LOCAL garden center, they will be able to possibly help you with these products. Good Luck! Would highly recommend preventers in the future though.

Scott's sells a line of products made for this. Try Scott's Weed and Feed along with the crabgrass treatments. If that doesn't work contact your local nursery. They can recommend the best products for lawn maintenance.
