Well, there is the jar, the bricklayer, or the masonic order - which is a society with secret rituals and initiation rites and some community service. One of them could also be called a mason.

Mason's are also members of the Masonic Temple. Mason's for the men, Eastern Star for women. Faternial order.

A stonemason lays bricks and mortar.

A mason traditionally was just a man who worked hard. An ox of a man, to say.

Like in the Archie comics, Moose Mason is the tough jock.

A mason is somebody who works with stone, like a monumental mason who makes gravestones or others who cut stone for buildings.
