Do Chickens have lips?

If not, why?

If so, why?

My mother would sometimes answer a question with "Do Chickens have lips?"

Update 2:

For those that grew up with cows, do they fly or was that pigs?

yes they do on thier beaks, its really neat too. i once had a chicken named cluckie he was awesome. he would follow me around and sit in my lap and come running to me when i called him. he clucked at me all the time, felt like he was trying to tell me something. he was too awesome! :P

We used to have that as a saying, instead of "...Pigs fly"...

We said "not until chickens have lips"

Too funny that you thought of that! Brought back funny memories!

No chickens have beaks. If they didnt they wouldnt be able to eat the feed.

no they do not have lips. they have beaks. chickens eat bugs and have tiny tongues. to eat the bugs theyll have to have fingers, long tongues or a beak. so thats why they have beaks.

Source(s): i have grown up with chickens, turkeys(both CAN fly), and cows.
