Mathematics - plane geometry in particular - has seveal widely accepted truths. Mormons, Muslims and Methodists all prove two triangles are congruent the same way.

Hindu children believe their pet will be reincarnated.

Of course humans must be humane toward pets and other animals:

(Proverbs 12:10) The righteous one is caring for the soul of his domestic animal

But pets do not go to heaven:

(2 Peter 2:12) ...like unreasoning animals born naturally to be caught and destroyed...
