Question about gun licensing?
If I am under the age of 18, is there any way that I could purchase a gun in my name? Perhaps from someone in particular, not a store. I'm shopping around for a Mosin Nagant M91/30. Is there a site similar to craigslist for firearms?

State laws in all cases require that you be 18 to purchase, even in a private party sale. Most states will allow you to own the gun at age 16, the method here is to have your parent buy the gun and then transfer ownership to you.
By the way, I am happy to see you interested in Military firearms, collecting them is a great hobby. When you get to be 21 get a C&R FFL, then you can have this type of gun shipped straight to your door.
As to a site for guns, the best is GunBroker.
Here are a few selections that are fun.
For these you must learn the phrase "Dasvedanya, Comrade"
Good old American stuff
A real toy
As a note, all the guns shown here can be shipped directly to your home if you have a C&R. The machine guns do require the paperwork before they are shipped.
What happens if you mess around too much with military collecting? This has been my experience.

Rules depend on the state, but most states won't let you own a gun untill 18. There is usually some exception for parents and family giving you a gun.

Eh, I don't think so, other than parental transfer, but excellent choice on the rifle!
