Organic food is produced by farmers who emphasize the use of renewable resources and the conservation of soil and water to enhance environmental quality for future generations. Organic meat, poultry, eggs, and dairy products come from animals that are given no antibiotics or growth hormones. Organic food is produced without using most conventional pesticides; fertilizers made with synthetic ingredients or sewage sludge; bioengineering; or ionizing radiation. Before a product can be labeled ‘organic,’ a Government-approved certifier inspects the farm where the food is grown to make sure the farmer is following all the rules necessary to meet USDA organic standards. Companies that handle or process organic food before it gets to your local supermarket or restaurant must be certified.
hope this can help :D

it means that the food was grown under the USDA NOP regulations (over 1500 pages of rules). Farmers must grow their crops and livestock according to these rules, keep excellent crop. sales and input records, fill out an annual application, get inspected and pay a lot of money in order to get certifed. It is illegal in the USA (and most of the world) to call food organic unless it is certified by one of the certifying agencies bonifide by the USDA.
farmers may not use synthetic pesticides (but pesticides derived of natural and plant based substances are allowed), GMO's, antibiotics or hormones, livestock is to be fed all organic feed and allowed free access to the out of doors.
Natural has no set of regulations so anything, including products with synthetic ingredients, can be called "natural"Source(s): I used to get my farm certified organic and I am still deeply involved in the organic and local foods movement http://www.boulderbeltfarm.com
