how to care for a dracaena houseplant?

i just bought a dracaena houseplant today at home depot, its my first plant I've taken care of. I've done some brief research and i have a couple questions.

i know i can not put it near a draft like an open window but its in my room and its 8 feet off from a ceiling fan, should i keep that off?

how much water should i water it?

is it alright to use bottled water used for drinking?

If the air humidity is high enough the ceiling fan shouldn't be a problem.

Put your plant in your window so it gets good sun. A very easy plant to care for. Water only when dry. Fertilize with high nitrogen water soluble fertilizer twice a year.
