You can take the plant to a sink and run water through it for a couple minutes to flush all the coffee and salts out of the soil. First you need to make sure that the water has a clear path, so removing the saucer will need to be done. After flushing the soil ( it can be a little messy) make sure that it has completely drained, so you don't get water everywhere and so the plant doesn't get root rot. Add soil if needed and make sure before you water the next time that it is still not wet at the bottom of the pot. Fertilize and enjoy. Or if you don't have the time, repot and add new soil.

Sit the plant pot in a bucket of water for a few hours. The coffee will leach out into the water and any thats left will be too dilute to smell.

No. You have to transplant the plant in new soil. But it is easy to do!
